Releasing into the paradox

Finding constancy in confusion

Releasing into the paradox
As I approach the final quarter of my 40 day journey with Saraswati I am feeling called to the moonlight and the paradox which it presents to us.

Where are we now?

Right now, it is enough

Where are we now?
I generally reach this part of the Sadhana and it's all feeling pretty messed up and chaotic in my mind. And this is now happening, right on schedule. I always, conveniently forget that these sadhanas never happen in a vacuum. That the rest of my life is carrying on much as it every was except now we have new lockdown rules and potty training to contend with. There are moments when I want to chuck it all in and just do it another time.

Intuition, wisdom, creative... faith

Standing on the precipice, again

Intuition, wisdom, creative... faith
When I did my advanced teacher training a couple (ok 6) years ago I remember our teacher telling us how he'd driven himself around the bend to create it. 40 days

Why 40 days is important, across the board

Sorry about that but it's probably best to declare it up front. I'll answer the one which I've spent a longer time pondering: why do I/we tend to practice in cycles of 40 days?

The journey

Understanding and appreciating the journey a little more

The journey
I began this 40 day sadhana journey with a symbol. That of Krishna's flute, representing our body, the air moving through our breath and the tune which is made a soundtrack to our life.

A new tune

Setting up a song for the new year

A new tune
Time for a change of tune.

I start a new sadhana a little ahead of the new year. Not being a drinker and mainly being in charge of two little ones, I generally like to do things with some vigour, when I get a moment there's no time to waste.
